NetStorNW is
a rackmount storage solution based on Novell's Nterprise Branch Office NAS
software, which is a highly optimized version of Novell NetWare
6 designed specifically For Network Attached Storage file sharing needs,
especially those in Branch Office locations.
For this reason, NetstorNW provides unmatched compatibility and
manageability with Novell NDS/eDirectory networking environments. Adding
to this, NetstorNW also provides heterogeneous networking support
for Windows, Macintosh and Unix/Linux clients with its cross-platform file
system.
Leveraging advanced features
of Novell eDirectory Services such as secure LDAP, NetStorNW
allows you to authenticate your users from your existing Novell Directory
Tree directly to the NetStorNW NAS server, without the NetStorNW
actually being grafted or joined into the tree. This eliminates
the need for separate RW replicas and backup partitions, and greatly
reduces the network traffic for branch office applications.
NetStorNW features
a high performance file system and a dedicated hardware RAID system
that is scalable up-to 8 TB of capacity, providing performance and
connectivity for an unlimited amount of users with no additional client
access licenses required for existing liscensed Netware users, while
eliminating the burden of your existing file servers. Advanced features such
as User Auto-Provisioning, File Replication to remote servers, Novell's
iPrint and ZEN technology, plus an easy to use graphical user interface
for both administrators and users, adds up to the perfect solution
for branch office and departmental storage needs.
